“Getting little ones comfortable in the water doesn’t just happen at the pool—it starts right at home! Whether your child is getting ready for their very first Parent & Baby session or building stamina in our small group classes, small water habits at home can make a massive difference.
Here are three simple ways Coach Anton recommends building water confidence outside of lesson hours:
- Bath Time Bubbles: Practice blowing bubbles in the bathwater to help kids get used to rhythmic breathing without water rushing up their nose.
- Face Splashing Fun: Gently pour cups of water over their hair and face during bath time to teach them how to handle water droplets comfortably.
- The ‘Superstar’ Glide: Practice lying flat on their back or tummy on a soft mat or bed while talking about keeping their body straight like a floating log.
Practice makes legendary! Keep it fun, keep it playful, and we will see you at the pool soon. Water you waiting for? Dive in wild, swim legendary!“
